Frequently Asked Questions

Ordering & Payment

Click the Request an Order Form button on the Select & Request Your Order Form page, choose your distributors and brands, add your PLUs/retail prices (if using), and submit.

Since all orders are custom-printed, initial orders must be prepaid. After that, Trade Labels offers terms to customers in good standing.

We include a convenient EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) option to make payment quick and easy when we send your invoice.

Yes! Multiple sets of the same item selection save us processing time, and we’re happy to pass that savings along to you.

If you're placing an order of over 200 items, we offer volume discounts whenever possible—just let us know the details, and we’ll provide a custom quote.

Lead Time & Rush Orders

Since every order is custom‑produced, most projects are completed within 10 business days of receipt. Please allow additional time for shipping if you’ve ordered printed labels

Have a tight schedule? Let us know — we’ll check what’s possible before you place your order.

Need it sooner? It happens — and we’re here to help.
We’ll do our best to accommodate tight deadlines when possible. A 30% rush charge may apply for orders needing delivery faster than our standard turnaround. Rush availability depends on our workload, but we’ll always confirm with you first — no surprises.

You’ll receive a confirmation email within 48 hours of submitting your form.
If you don’t hear from us, please resend your request or call us at (888) 285‑5522.

Label Design Questions

Our standard label size is 4″h x 3 ¾″w. If you need a different size, just ask—we create custom labels every day!

That’s the date the label was printed. If you see old dates on your labels, there’s a good chance that that product information may have changed — whether due to supplier updates, FDA or USDA changes, or other factors. Our order form includes dates for items that were updated in the past two years.

Yes! You can design your own labels. Please download our Custom Graphics Requirements here → (insert link to graphics requirements) so we can fit all of the required elements and meet FDA/USDA requirements.

No — Trade Labels does not assign PLU/Bin numbers. While produce has a standardized national PLU list, bulk foods do not. When you order, you must provide the PLU/Bin numbers you would like printed on your labels.

Ingredient, Nutrition & Regulation Questions

No — if you need product data (such as ingredients or certifications), you must contact the supplier directly.

Maintaining and updating this information (which changes often due to vendor changes and regulatory requirements) is highly labor‑intensive. Our only source of revenue is through the sale of labels.

No — we are not a laboratory, and we do not conduct nutritional analyses.

Currently, Country of Origin labeling (COOL) is required on:

  • Raw macadamias
  • Raw peanuts
  • Raw pecans

For processed products, COO is not generally required.

Products sold from bulk bins to consumers in a retail setting must contain the same information as on a Consumer Packaged Good label (minus “servings per container”).
Please contact us for a form outlining these requirements in detail.

Label Accuracy & Responsibility

Trade Labels’ mission is to provide accurate information on every label we produce. However:

  • We cannot control how long it takes for reformulated products to cycle through distribution channels.
  • We cannot guarantee that suppliers provide correct data.

Only the person filling the bin can confirm that the label matches the product.
Trade Labels, Inc. bears no responsibility for ensuring the label matches your product, nor can we guarantee the accuracy of vendor‑supplied information.

If you notice a discrepancy or have a concern, please call us at (888) 285‑5522 — we’ll be glad to explore the issue with you.
